Department of Botany activity held on July 28, 2026, i.e.  Celebration of World Nature Conservation Day @ Botany Lab.

Every year, World Nature Conservation Day is celebrated on July 28 to emphasize the importance of sustainable management of natural resources, protecting biodiversity, and mitigating the impact of climate change. This year, on 28-07-2026, the Department of Botany celebrated "World Nature Conservation Day" by organizing an essay writing competition for BSc-1st semester students on the topic "Nature conservation methods and their significance." This event was presided over by the principal, Dr. Dupam Sateesh. IQAC Coordinator Dr. Syeda K. Tanveer and HoD of the English Department Sri K.Vijayendra Rangaprasad, witnessed the event. The Head of the Department of Botany, Dr. Bheemanagouda N. Patil; Dr. Basavarajeshwari H., Assistant Professor of Botany; Ms.Pallavi; and Smt. Shubha, Faculty Members of the Botany Department, conducted the competition. Around 40 students from the BSc 1st semester participated in this competition.
