ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯತ್ತ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇಂದಿನ ತುರ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾಳಿನ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಪರಿಸರವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಇಂದಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಯುವಜನರ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ಶಾಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಕೋ-ಕ್ಲಬ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಸಕ್ರಿಯಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಪರಿಸರ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸೋಣ. ಪಕ್ಷಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಸಸಿ ನೆಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಅಭಿಯಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ. ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇವಲ ಮನರಂಜನೆಗೆ ಬಳಸದೆ, ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಬಳಸೋಣ. ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಯುವಜನರಿಗಾಗಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ನಿಸರ್ಗ ಶಿಬಿರಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳಿ. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯೂ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಉಳಿವಿಗಾಗಿ ಅತ್ಯಮೂಲ್ಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯಾಗಬಲ್ಲದು.

Actively engaging the younger generation in nature conservation is an urgent necessity today. The immense responsibility of building tomorrow's sustainable environment lies with today's students and youth. Let us activate eco-clubs in schools and colleges to raise environmental awareness. Participate in large numbers in bird watching, tree planting, and anti-plastic campaigns. Instead of using social media merely for entertainment, let us use it to spread scientific awareness about wildlife and forest conservation. Take part in nature camps and volunteer programs organized by the Forest Department for the youth. Every small step you take to protect nature can be an invaluable contribution to the survival of our planet.

BRIEF REPORT ON SWACHHATA AND SEVA ACTIVITIES conducted by NSS & Ranger Units, Smt. A.S.M. College for Women, Ballari.

During the month of October 2026, the NSS and Ranger Units of Smt. A.S.M. College for Women actively participated in various Swachhata and Seva activities with the objective of promoting cleanliness, civic responsibility, environmental awareness and the spirit of community service among students.

The units organized cleanliness drives within and around the college campus and encouraged students to maintain clean and hygienic surroundings. Students actively participated in collecting waste, cleaning common areas and creating awareness about proper waste segregation and responsible disposal of waste.

As part of the Swachhata and Seva initiatives, the volunteers also spread awareness about personal hygiene, sanitation, cleanliness and the importance of keeping public places free from litter. The activities emphasized the message of “Cleanliness is Everyone’s Responsibility.”

The NSS and Ranger volunteers demonstrated enthusiasm, discipline and a strong spirit of voluntary service throughout the activities. Their participation helped strengthen the values of teamwork, social responsibility and community engagement.

The Swachhata and Seva activities conducted during October 2026 were meaningful and beneficial in creating awareness among students and staff and also the surrounding community. The programmes contributed to building a cleaner environment and encouraging students to become responsible and socially committed citizens.
