"Geneva Convention Day" was celebrated on August 22 to mark the anniversary of the adoption of the four Geneva Conventions in 1949. These core international treaties set the legal standards for the humane treatment of victims of war, protecting wounded soldiers, prisoners of war, and civilians.

The College Youth Red Cross Wing had organized a special program on "WORLD GENEVA CONVENTION DAY" on 22.08.2026 at 12:25PM in the BBA seminar hall. The program aimed to raise awareness of the day's importance, the roles & responsibilities of the Red Cross, and the history & importance of the Geneva Convention. It was presided over by Smt. M. Kathyayini Maridevaiah, College Governing Council Chairperson. Principal Dr. Dupam Satheesh, IQAC Co-coordinator Dr. Bheemanagouda N. Patil, and Sri K. Vijayendra Rangaprasad, HoD of English, welcomed the gathering; Ms. Chandrakala, a student of BSc-III Semester, presented a PPT on the Geneva Convention in Kannada; Dr. Syeda K. Tanveer Fatima, IQAC Coordinator & Convenor of the Youth Red Cross wing, briefed about the program; Dr. Mangala B.N., the Bharat Scouts & Guides Unit Ranger Officer, proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Suvarnamma D, HoD Kannada, Dr. Basawarajeshwari H, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Botany; Sri Ashok G, HoD Physical Education; Sri Satheesh J, Lecturer in Kannada & Ms. Divyashree, Lecturer in Zoology, witnessed the programme. Around 47 students have actively participated in this programme.
